Taviano is a town located in the south-west of Salento, just outside the popular destination of Gallipoli. The earliest evidence of human inhabitants dates all the way back to the Neolithic era. Specchia has several churches, palazzi or palaces, and a castle. In about 20 minutes by car you can reach both the Ionian and Adriatic coasts from Specchia.
