Villa Violetta

I'm a bit surprised to find I'm the first review here on TA but the property is relatively new. My wife and I went to Villa Violetta for the last week of June/ first week of July. We took our dog with us and had a very relaxing time. We planned to go to the beach but could never pry ourselves away from the villa. This was also not our first trip to Puglia so our primary focus was on spending time by the pool surrounded by nature. The owner and management company were very nice and very welcoming. My wife repeatedly commented that they had done such an excellent job equipping the property. She notices everything!: -) They truly thought of pretty much everything you could need to enjoy your time. There are ample amounts of dishes and glasses of various types, utensils, pans and many other things that I can't think of in this moment. We never wanted anything more than what was provided. This doesn't mean you won't need to buy your own food and drink... But that you are well supported as you enjoy your vacation. We enjoyed the porch and the pool and the being able to have times of peace and quiet. Being able to wash clothes and have a dishwasher are also nice touches. There are a lot of nice additions that you won't find at other properties. For example... You might find a washer... But not a dishwasher. Or you may find a toaster... But no microwave. You might find a moka pot.... Or maybe a Nespresso machine like this place. Here, you get a lot of conveniences and it let's you know that the people that own the house truly care. It is also beautifully furnished and built with stucco and stone everywhere. Our dog LOVED being there and this was important to us as she is getting older. She being normally in an apartment without a yard and so she really enjoyed rolling on the grass and lounging in pretty much every spot the yard offers. We spent hours each day in the pool. The pictures provided on TA are accurate and we truly did not want to leave at the end of our stay. On the last day I looked at my dog.... And my wife and we agreed.... That we wished we could have stayed longer.... Wished we could have given our 4 legged baby and ourselves a taste of this kind of life for a bit longer. One additional thing occurs to me. We loved visiting the surrounding towns and trying different restaurants but we also loved staying her for some of our meals. It's a great place to base for the Val d'Itria and convenient to several interesting towns... But you'll never be sad to return. Sometimes we were just happy to be "home" for a rest.... Eating enjoyed eating out on "our" patio.

We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Olivetta! The house was in a quiet location and our family (2 daughters, + grandparents) enjoyed the pool, hammock, outdoor dining areas and air-conditioned rooms. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we especially enjoyed the Nespresso machine and milk frother for our first cappuccino of the day. The location and the house was perfect! 10 minutes from the center of Ostuni, 15 minutes from the beach, and 45 minutes from several neighboring towns (Monopoli, Alberrobello, Fasano, Cisternino). There is nothing that could have improved our trip, we will be back!
