POSITION:
Racale is a typical southern Salento town located near the southern-western coast. Messapians, Greeks, and Romans have all inhabited the area at one point in time. There are several historical churches, towers and menhir found in Racale.

A 5 minute drive takes you to Torre Suda, which is where the nearest beach is located. Racale is a producer of grains, tobacco, and grapes.
