This house requires a car as it is quite isolated: 10 minutes from the coast, 15 minutes from the local resorts of San Vito dei Normanni and Carivigno. there is no place nearby that you can walk to, for example a restaurant or even a walking route (or we were not told). the property is very large and has great potential, but only a third is maintained which is a shame, for example the terrace areas are tidier. The house is set among pine, olive, eucalyptus and fruit trees and the swimming pool is well maintained. the living space works quite well but keep in mind that the window closest to the sofa in the photos does not open. we had issues with water pressure which have mostly been resolved, but make sure you ask for the boiler to be turned on, otherwise you may not get much hot water (we weren't aware and wish we had been told). the kitchen was quite well equipped especially for wine glasses, but could have done with a few more essentials. overall I recommend this villa. please explain to people that it is possible to turn on the boiler for hot water as we have had almost none all week. the gardens should be much tidier, for example sweeping the driveway (a proper external broom is required) and picking up rubbish around the property. Another sofa is needed in the house so that all 6 guests can sit and relax inside. the kitchen appliances were of very low quality, e.g. the toaster barely worked. colored plates are not dishwasher safe. in the kitchen you need scissors and more than one tea towel (for 6 people) while the other washes. the kitchen needs a cloth to clean the worktop because the sponge doesn't work. an umbrella or some shade by the pool would be great. there are wires sticking out of the wall in the private bathroom which look dangerous. the main bathroom door doesn't close properly and the main door to the house is difficult to open and close which is a safety issue.
